to be honest, I also thought the Aux connection in my E87 sounded ok. I think if I had opted for HK then I would upgrade to the better USB connection.
I will buy myself a Y cable which I have seen for £13 and put it to the test. If the sound is that bad, I will put my music on a USB and play it through that.
