Fingers crossed on that one, but it beats the heck out of paralysis, which he avoided by less than a cm, according to the doc. Oct 18, 2009 - remember it like it was yesterday. He actually got up and went to the bench on his own feet. That kid has a will of steel (when he wants to - heh.)
Man... I'm a dad so I can't imagine how you felt. My kid is bonkers and has been taking JKD for 3 months and already up for his next stripe. He's only 5 but wearing 7-8 year old gear - big kid. I hope he takes up BJJ like I did but also don't want him to get hurt.

Arthritis is a real possibility man. Have him take up yoga to keep really limber and strengthen the core muscles. Maybe bone soup too.

Yeah man. My doc really stressed range of motion so he cut out all NSAIDs so I don't have a double whammy on healing. On the side, I've been drinking mad bone broth and eating like an animal - although on keto. Lost 4.2lbs on that too. But taking in a lot of fats and protein.
