Same here - as a manual owner, I recently had an auto courtesy 3 series, and I also couldn't help thinking about how dazzling for the people behind it must be with the LED brake lights constantly on in a queue. Must be awful in the US where most cars are autos.
Then again I also still can't get my head round the electronic handbrakes in Audis - if the power fails does the brake fail-on or fail-off? if it's parked on a hill and the battery dies does it roll down hill? or is it just impossible to bump start it or drag it onto a low loader.
