All the cars I have owned have had rusty brakes if I leave the car overnight with wet brake rotors. It takes one hard braking to remove the surface rust.
Rotors actually becoming warped is very rare. When they appear to be warped, it is usually buildup of brake pad material. This can typically be removed by running a brake pad bedding procedure.
