In May I received delivery of an Estoril Blue M235i. Her maiden voyage was on a wine tasting weekend in the foothills around Paso Robles, Ca. For those that don't know, these quiet, winding, hilly roads are filled with trees that throw dappled sunlight on the asphalt and I'm convinced were built purely for sports car enthusiasts to "exercise" their steeds.
One of our friends on the trip found out about my new EB M235i and decided to bring his EB "Clown shoe" (M Coupe) that's been modified a bit and gets tracked pretty regularly. Needless to say we played tag all over those foothill roads. His N/A and high revs allows him to wail on me in the flats and downhill sections, but my freight train torque advantage showed him my dust in the uphill jaunts.
I took a spin in his cherry ride and of course it felt world's different, both due to the era and purpose the cars were built for. I still love how you can touch the rear tire with your hand when sitting with the door open.
