Well I'll be honest and say it's all about the grower and if the grower doesn't know what they're doing then the product will be shit...even with soil. You can over nute plants no matter what their growing medium is
There's NO reason that hydroponically grown herb should taste like chemicals unless the grower fucked up big time. It's not like the flowers EVER touch water? Only the roots do......which are what you want sucking up teh nutriens anyways.....
