I do the same as both of you.
1: Seat all the way down in the back.
2: Seat all the way up in the front.
3: Seat forward until right knee is a close to hitting climate controls.
4: Steering wheel all the way out.
5: Seat back up until i can lean both wrists on top of the steerin wheel with shoulders pressed against the seat.
6: Side bolsters in until I can hardly move.
7: Adjuste height of steering wheel until all info in the instrument panel is visible.
There is room for a helmet (I am 189 cm tall), but the arm rests are slightly in the way when you have the seat in the lowest position. I open the center console arm rest when doing advanced driving.
