Wow, I thought I was the only one. Anything with acetic acid (vinegar) is repugnant to me. Unfortunately, that can severely limit one's choices in a nice restaurant. I wish I could get past it but it's not going to happen. Ever.
And as mentioned, I always cringe inside when people use good as an adverb.
"How are you doing?"
"Good."
No.
However, after living in the South for 10 years, I've just come to accept it. They have a different vernacular and I honestly don't think they teach grammar in the schools down here. Sadly, ain't and fixin to have been added to my vocabulary.
Now they do have y'all, which is a great word. I do like using that one.
