I agree that it should be possible, but I find myself driving around in Comfort with DTC or DSC-Off most of the time. I feel Sport + is too "binary" for road use on the 125i, and I mostly switch to it just to get more pop from the exhaust.
Things could be different for the 116i or on track though.
As for the old GTI vs. 125i debate.. Well, maybe the 7 with the fancy diff completely changes the game, but I've owned and loved a 5 (and driven the 6) but after living with 125i for a couple of months I cannot imagine myself ever going "back" to a GTI.
The GTI was great right from the start until the very end but the 125i somehow just seems to get better each day... it's just much more interesting to drive.
