stefan, there is no need to claim that this thing will be more performant than an actual E82 135i coupe, not yet without any data available. Plus, we don't know what will the 1M's real successor be like yet, it will be difficult for BMW to frustrate the potential buyers on that one especially after the surprising (for some) success and limited availability of the actual 1M.
So, the only things we know for sure is this M135i three door hatch study just doesn't look genuinly focused or right (choose your word to fit) and it definitely is not the successor of 1M, in no dimension I could think of.
The future M2 has to be damn good and different than this "concept" and has to salivate owners and fans of the E82 1M. For now, we are just thanking God every single day that we have grabbed one of the available 1Ms right on time and not waited for this next generation.
